About Us

Methos Consulting Ltd inherits its mission from what was Methos Snc, originally a partnership between two brothers, Marco e Corrado Mascioli. It was established in Rome, Italy, in November 1988.

Methos is a half Italian, half English kind of acronym. It stands for "Methodologies for Software Optimization". Even in those early days the company provided successful design and project management methodologies then rarely applied in the IT industry.

The brothers were seriously committed to the highest quality in software development and in training new software engineers. This commitment and the results achieved allowed the partnership to close several contracts for commercial and research products for top customer like SIP (now Telecom Italia), Prudential, Olivetti.

The company worked for several financial institutions and telecommunication companies until when, at the beginning of the new millenium, it was split in two and relocated to England. Methos Consulting Ltd now works in the engineering, telecommunication and aerospace sectors, whereas Speedbound Ltd provides top level consultancy, database design and support for the Oracle RDBMS, mainly for financial institutions in the City of London.

Although the technology has improved dramatically since Methos started, the basic idea behind the business hasn't changed. Providing up-to-date services to our customers and inventing new ones when needed.
